Scene reflection
This scene project taught me a lot of things as the process went by. When we first chose our scene, I knew that this would be something new for me. Working with more than one person on a comedic scene. In the end though, it was one of my favorite project we had done. I though in this scene we did a good job of all interacting together well. At first I thought this would be difficult since the host talked to both contestants separately. But in the end we did a good job at incorpering everyone at most times. It was very fun to work on this aspect. Deciding where the other contestant could cut in and make a snarky comment. I also thought we did a good job of memorizing our lines. It's was a long scene compared to what we had previously done. But all things considered we were able to remember our lines and keep the scene moving in a funny way. I think one thing we could have worked on was making sure our bodies were more towards the camera. At some points it was difficult to see a person's facial expression due to our angles. I think if we had kept the idea always be towards the camera in mind, the problem would be fixed. I also personally could have worked on speaking louder so it was clearer in the final product. Listening back, you can hear everything i say but it is difficult. I know if I was watching a scene I would want to be able to clearly hear everything the actors are saying without having to work hard to hear it. This scene was definitely a learning and growing process. Everyday in class (when everyone was there) we had to adjust to each other's strengths and weakness and build off of that. In my opinion, the end product really grew from our first draft. We were able to make small shifts in different sections in order to make the scene better. All in all I really enjoyed this project!
